Pink Lily - A Gentle Reminder to Honour Yourself

Some days, my body feels steady. Other days, it sways like a stem in the wind or simply calls me to rest. I remind myself that resting is not laziness, procrastination, or failure. It’s a reminder that I’ve been through a lot, and that I am still tired, still healing, and navigating uncertainty while carrying emotional weight. A reminder that PPPD will occasionally rear its head.

In today’s unsteady morning, the Pink Lily found its way to me.

Its whisper reached the places within me that hold both personal power and vulnerability. It offered a message that was simple but profound: stay true to the promises you’ve made to yourself.

It’s not always easy. Low energy tugs at motivation, whispers that efforts will fail, and sometimes even lying in bed feels like the safest choice. The lily asks for nothing dramatic. It asks only that I show up gently, take one step, honour my commitments, nourish my body, create when I can, and simply exist with intention.

Flowers have a unique way of reflecting the truth we often forget. They grow at their own pace, bloom in their own time, and lean toward the sun even when the wind presses against them. There is no shame in pausing, no guilt in slowing down. There is only the quiet insistence to return, to try again, and to trust the rhythm of your own life.

When life circles back, you’re not starting over, you’re going deeper. Each season of life asks us to explore another layer, to tend it, and to listen to what it holds. It’s a spiral of becoming, a gentle reminder that here we grow again.

Today, my commitment is simple: to take one gentle step toward what my soul needs; to open to energy when it comes, and honour rest when it doesn’t. In this, the Pink Lily stands as my guide, my mirror, my soft teacher.

Sometimes the most radical act of self-love is remembering that you can still rise even slowly. Recently, I’ve been reading about leaning into the presence of heaven on earth, and how kindness and love move more freely around us when we do. I experienced that today when unexpected help found its way to me.

May the Pink Lily invite you back to your own vows and promises, and remind you that you’re allowed to grow slowly, intentionally, and in your own sacred rhythm.
